2012 started with BOINC reaching a historic landmark - the SETI@Home project reached the 2 billion mark for recorded results. This is the oldest BOINC project and marks a remarkable moment in computer history. Collaborative computing can produce results that would be difficult to get from other systems - especially for that cost.
BOINC@MONACO have just smashed there way through 50 million in BOINC total credit. And they are making a killing on MilkyWay@home with over 30 million total credit.

Help us by signing a BOINC petition to the German Parliament. The members of the nonprofit associtiation Rechenkraft.net e.V. want to use the computing power of idle pcs in german federal bureaucracy, public institutions and universities for the benefit of science. As a first step, we filed this petition in which we demand the Bundestag (german parliament) to take steps for a law to implement distributed computing in the non-security sensitive computers of public facilities.
We have added a script to our download section here that team founders can add to their own team website to allow team members join their team on all BOINC projects with one simple click. This is a major benefit to teams as currently team members have to visit every project individually to join their team.
Read about and download the script here; http://www.boincteams.com/team-join-script
Help is avalable and you can chat about the team join script in THIS Message.
This team join script was developed in association with the UK BOINC team and ICanDoThis.co.uk! Many thanks to Darren and UBT Timbo for their help!
